Inclusive Webapp for Rijksoverheid's Accessible Reporting

In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Ontwerpwerk developed an inclusive webapp to enable citizens to report inaccessible digital services. Built using the Rijksoverheid Starter Kit (React), the app aligns with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and allows users to report non-compliant digital services directly to the appropriate authority. The embedded solution seamlessly integrates into Rijksoverheid.nl, offering flexibility and a smooth user experience. Through qualitative user testing with twelve individuals from the target group, key insights were gathered to ensure accessibility and usability. The result is a user-friendly, inclusive webapp that empowers citizens to report inaccessible services, contributing to a more accessible digital landscape. The app's design was informed by stakeholder collaboration, ensuring the final product meets the needs of people with visual impairments, low language skills, and other accessibility challenges.
