SAP Commerce Migration for Praxis and Brico: Full-Scale Cloud Transition
Maxeda DIY Group faced the challenge of migrating SAP Commerce from AWS to the SAP Cloud environment for their two leading brands, Praxis and Brico. The project involved upgrading the outdated version from 6.7 to 2211, a major version jump, and migrating over 130GB of data from MySQL to Microsoft SQL. The datasets were incompatible, requiring innovative solutions to ensure seamless integration. We also optimized microservices connections to perform better than before. The solution included rewriting custom code, conducting deep investigations into business logic, and ensuring compatibility with the new SAP Cloud environment. The result was a successful migration that enhanced performance and supported the evolving needs of Praxis and Brico.
