Barenbrug's Drupal Multisite Transformation
Barenbrug, a global leader in grass seed research, needed a modern digital platform to unify its international web presence. The company's previous setup lacked consistency, scalability, and content governance, with regional teams using diverse tools leading to inconsistent user experiences. Youwe designed a robust Drupal multisite platform with a shared codebase, enabling each regional team to manage content and media in their own language while maintaining a unified global brand identity. The solution allowed for full editorial independence while ensuring structural consistency across all sites. Each country operates its own backend with a unique database, asset library, and user roles, streamlining workflows and offering multilingual flexibility. Domains host single or multiple languages as needed, such as Barenbrug France publishing in French and Australia using English (AU) without impacting other sites. All websites follow a standardized component and content type model, ensuring consistent page designs across regions, regardless of language.
