Map Integration: Discovery Communications' WordPress-Driven Corporate Site Redesign
Discovery Communications, a global media and entertainment company, partnered with WebDevStudios to revamp their corporate website using WordPress. The project included a custom Mapbox-based map showcasing their international presence and 2.9 billion subscriber networks. The redesigned site was nominated for a Webby Award in the Corporate Communications category. The new platform enhanced user engagement with interactive global maps and streamlined content management through WordPress. The Newsroom and Careers sections were also developed, featuring a custom post type and third-party integration with ICIMS for job search functionality. This case highlights WebDevStudios' ability to deliver scalable, visually compelling solutions for large-scale digital platforms.
